Registered Counselling Therapist - Candidate
I completed my Bachelor of Science in Psychology at McGill University and my Master’s degree in Counselling (MEd) at the University of Ottawa. After my studies, I primarily worked as a trauma therapist, often helping those who experienced early childhood traumas and sexualized violence. I currently work at Wolf Counselling Therapy on Wednesdays.
With each person I meet, I strive to understand them as a unique individual with a unique story, challenges, and values. With compassion, empathy, and gentle curiosity, I will walk alongside you as you steer your life towards a preferred direction that is aligned with your hopes. As for specific therapeutic modalities, I draw primarily from Narrative Therapy, somatic approaches, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), working with both the mind and the body as needed, and tailoring my counselling appropriately for each individual I meet. However, I always keep an open mind for anything that will help sharpen my skills. I can offer therapy in both English and Korean.
During my free time, I like to play baseball, practice on my guitar, take photos with my camera, go on hikes with friends, or simply sit down and read a book.
